Hello Moms...let This Old Homestead Playcare provide...a gathering place fit for children.
Located between beautiful Barnardsville and Weaverville.
Children can feed the chickens and ducks and gather their eggs,
Pick wildflowers and run barefoot through the grass.
Indoors we will explore reading readiness, numbers, games, music, crafts and lots of free play.

Homemade meals from scratch will be served with the garden, apple tree and children lending a helping hand......fresh bread too!
   

Programs Offered

This Old Homestead Playcare offers both 2 and 3 day Programs offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Activities Include:

  • Animal Science: from the chicken and the egg to worm compost and butterflies

  • Gardening

  • Exploration of different cultures

  • Baking & Cooking

  • Dress Up

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Beginning Spanish

  • Interactive Story time

  • Numbers & Word games
   
Elisa Alvarado was born in Puerto Rico, is bi-lingual and grew up in Chicago. She has more than 10 years experience working in and directing day care and also has an eight year old son named Rio. She is especially proud of her cooking / baking classes that she gave at the Santa Fe Children's Museum....Elisa now makes her home in the Barnardsville area.
