Philosophy

The aim of North Asheville Preschool is to be ministry to the members of Asbury Memorial and the community in which it is located. A dedicated and diverse staff, overseen and supported by committed Board of Directors, provides a loving yet challenging environment in which children can express themselves through various creative activities and expand their knowledge of the world around them. As they grow physically, children are given opportunities also to grow socially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually and are encouraged to develop desirable habits and values such as honesty, understanding, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion, truthfulness and charity in order to become caring, sharing and responsible persons. The program offers children experiences in many areas, including creative art and play, social skills, music, stories and kindergarten readiness. These provide a solid foundation for later education while helping children expand their own self-expression, self control, self reliance and self-esteem as they progress at their individual rates.

Class Schedules

School will be in session five days a week. We run throughout the school year and offer an optional summer session.

We offer 2, 3, 4 and 5-day schedules for Babies, 2's, 3's and 4 Year olds. Program runs from 9:00 to 1:00.  Parents must collect children by 1:00.
Snow days will be observed according to what the Asheville City Schools decide, unless you are notified otherwise in the event of prolonged bout of bad weather. If the city schools open on a delayed scheduel, we open at our regular time, 9:00.

Dec. 22-Jan3 - Christmas
March 21-25 - Spring Break
May 27 - End of School

Tuition

The tuition is paid by the month and due by the 10th of each month. This is the same for every month regardless of holidays or absenses. Fees are set by the Preschool Board. For a second child there is a $5.00 discount per month. Tuition increases reflect the rise in cost for art supplies, paper, goods, snacks, ect.
