Earth Day Poster Contest
Location: WNC Nature Center
Sponsor: WNC Nature Center

Design a poster with any Earth Day theme and bring it to the Nature Center between April 3rd and the 7th. All the posters will be displayed druing our Wonders of Water Celebration being held Saturday April 8th. Each entry will receive a ribbon and certificate of accomplishment. Description: By John Olive, adapted from Louis Sachar's novels. Directed by Cindy Baldwin
Based on the wildly popular series of children's books by Louis Sachar, this play brings to life an elementary school accidentally built thirty stories high where the oddest things can happen. Wicked teachers turn students to apples. Public address systems sprout mouths and tongues and warn of wandering cows. Missing floors and mythical teachers turn out to be real and intriguingly intertwined. Entertaining and engaging!
All of these young actors are between the ages of 9 and 11.
Spellbound Bookstore will be selling books at the upcoming Asheville Community Theater production of “Sideways Stories.” A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit ACT kids programs.
